Procrastinating ..

I am ridiculous! I've got tonnes of work due Monday and all I do is procrastinate .. procrastinate AND procrastinate ..

AND look what I found today?







SHOES!!!

Now to add to my procrastination .. I am having difficulty deciding which to get .. I REALLY like the orange and white ones though ..

Sigh .. decisions decisions decisions ..

Money money money .. I NEED MONEY!!!

Of Fridays ..

I was waiting for my friend last Fri and had some time to kill ..

So I decided to read some journal article at the library ..

Only to find the library was too hot and stuffy ..

So I went and sat outside in the cold, at least there was fresh air ..

Some 10min later .. a group of guys decided to sit at the table next to mine and cig off ..

Well, I understand it's open air and they were free to smoke anywhere .. BUT why pick one next to mine .. there were SIX freaking tables to my right and THREE to my left!

So I packed up .. and went back into the library to find a spot .. feeling all irritated having not read anything ..

Then the unthinkable happened .. I started sniffing poo-or-some-sort ..

This was IMPOSSIBLE! I was in the LIBRARY!

Then I remembered how accidents can happen .. and took a quick glance at my shoe *thinking I'd stepped on dog poo!*

BUT it was shinning as ever .. somehow reflex made me look around and then I noticed that the guy behind HAD HIS SHOES OFF!!

Reality sank in ..

Then nausea ..

Then anger ..

Then people started moving away .. including ME!

I wonder if the guy noticed the simply unbearable stench he caused ..

I felt like screaming "IF U WERE GONNA TAKE UR SHOES OFF .. MAKE SURE U HAVE CLEAN SOCKS ON!! AND NICE SMELLING ONES!!"

But I controlled myself .. I may be too fussy! After all it does not state in law that a person MUST smell good ..

Oh well ..

On a completely different matter, I could not resist not sharing this picture! Isn't she a beauty?


Alright .. no more planes for now .. I promise =)

Time for some blessing!

Exam season is on BUT lucky ME .. I don't have FINALS! ! !

Why you ask? Because when everyone was enjoying Easter, we fourth year Pharm students had to sit for finals .. so it's FAIR ok .. we had our fair share of torture!!! Don't complain hehe!

Our brilliant life group leaders Cacing =) and Ernest came up with the idea to cook for those in our LG who were having exams!


So we applied the three Cs today - Cut, chop and cook!


Yeah .. that's me and Ernest (above) with the chopped stuffs .. nothing compared to ..

And I'd never fried so many omelette in my LIFE! I smell like EGG after more than 20 omelette! *Sharon nods in agreement!*


This is the final product after the quality control team (US la .. who else?) gave the greenlight! Together with wishes and a devotion for them to ponder on ..

Thumbs up to both our LG leaders!!! Despite being busy working people, they sacrifice their time for the LG .. all because of their love for God!

It was really great to see how happy and surprised our LG members were .. since they did not see it coming (too busy studying? better be ..)

I'm off to zzz .. feel a headache coming on .. i think it's the ridiculous weather! Goodnight world!

P/s: In case you were wondering, the meal consisted of Sweet & sour pork, omelette, pak choy, rice and a mandarin orange!

All in a day's life

So the hot water strike continues .. and I had to shower at the gym today ..

Just when I step in and enjoy the feel of the warm water for a minute ..
.. the FIRE ALARM went OFF! ! !

I was shocked as you may see ..
Thoughts were going through my head:

1) Should I dry off and save my life?

2) Continue showering and enjoy my last shower on earth .. at least HOT ..

3) Shower AFAP (F denoting fast) and pray that everything will be OK despite ignoring the alarm and speaker asking everyone to evacuate ..

Plus I was the only one inside the locker room so I didn't know what was going on outside ..

Well, I went for option #3

And as I was changing into clean clothes .. these people entered ..


Looking all mighty and ready to save the day ..

But the source was no where to be found .. at least at the time I left ..

And there were 2 fire engines outside the building with a crowd watching ..

Oh well .. I'm alive!

The new Airbus A380 lesson 101

The new Airbus A380 is simply amazing!! I have been in love with it since it first made headlines somewhere in 2001 ..

As some of you know, I love aeroplanes, commercial airliners in particular =)

So since it's my blog .. I get to write anything I want muahaha ..

Don't worry .. I won't bore you .. these are some amazing facts you know ..

The height of the aircraft, from the ground to the tip of the tail, is 24.1m, approximately the height of FIVE giraffes!


The length of the aircraft is 72.6m - about TWO and a HALF TIMES the length of a Diplodocus, a dinosaur of the Jurassic period, and among the longest animals ever recorded.


The wingspan (wingtip to wingtip) is 79.8m. Each wing covers an area of 845metre-squared and can shelter approximately 2800 people!


The length of the aircraft is 72.6m, approximately the length of TWO blue whales.


The two passenger decks of the aircraft covers a total area of 550metre-squared - equivalent to TEN squash courts!


The volume of the entire aircraft is 1570metre-cube - enough space for 4.5 million tennis balls!


The height of the aircraft is 24.1m - approximately the height of 3493 Apple IPod Nanos stacked one on top of the other!

Also, the aircraft is so tall (when measured from the ground to the tip of the tail) that you will be able to step onto it from the terrace of an eight-storey building!

I am MAD .. really MAD! ! !

The hot water in our house is broken!

In WINTER!

I had to boil water to shower and carry a pail upstairs .. felt like some kampung people ..

Plus because of the lack of steam .. I was shivering through the whole shower process .. and now I think I'm coming down with a COLD!

Argh! ! ! This is madness!

I wanna go home .. and i mean NOW!

Sent off Wen at the airport today .. time seems to fly really quickly ..

Standing at the boarding gate .. I wished I was going back to Malaysia too! Good ol' Malaysia .. no matter how comfortable I get in Adelaide .. Malaysia will still be home! Besides, it's a good idea to get away from winter! Gosh i hate winter .. the rain .. the wind .. the coldness .. you get my point =)

Anyway, here's Wen before boarding at the very last minute ..


And .. I watched Shrek 3 today! It was entertaining! It actually premiers in Adelaide cinemas only today .. compare that to the date it opened in US cinemas below ;-)

I no longer update my profile .. no longer upload new pictures .. neither do I change skin/font/color .. nor browse for friend updates .. or rather being nosy .. no longer log in when I am stuck at Uni between classes ..

Is that a sign of me getting older? Which completely contradicts my thoughts .. Somehow I just couldn't be bothered with the happenings at Friendster .. after all .. how many friends at Friendster do we actually keep in contact with .. 10%?

On a completely different matter .. I watched Music & Lyrics today .. I was a bit skeptical initially from the reviews I've heard .. but you know what? I thought it was good .. real good .. guess you'll never know till you've watched it for yourself .. I always appreciate movies with good music! Now .. time to find the soundtrack hehe ..
